Dr. Markus Wilson was born and raised in Prince Albert, and he’s overjoyed to be able to practice in his hometown alongside Dr. Jerry Janzen. He says that his favorite part about coming to work every day is having the chance to establish and develop lifelong relationships with his patients, improving their smile and self-confidence along the way. He looks forward to making your dental visits as enjoyable as possible, but first, you can learn a little more about him by reading on below.
From an early age, Dr. Wilson knew that dentistry was not just going to be an interest, but a passion. He believes that his upbringing and engaging nature directed him towards a hands-on career in healthcare. On his home farm, he frequently treated sick and injured animals, and he even volunteered at local health clinics. This drive to help eventually became focused on oral health. He also really enjoys the science of dentistry and how there are always new techniques to learn about. Nothing makes him happier than to learn something and use it to help a patient soon after.
Dr. Wilson is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry, and after leaving school, he went on a ten-year journey of post-graduate education. He’s received training from the Kois Center of Clinical Excellence, the DC Institute, and is a member of both the Canadian Dental Association and The College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan. He works hard every year to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field so he can consistently provide his patients with the highest-quality care possible.
Growing up on a farm, Dr. Wilson developed an appreciation for an outdoor lifestyle, with some of his favorite hobbies being boating, watersports, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. He’s also passionate about traveling and has explored many countries, enjoying both their history and culture.
